I'm Hearing an Echo or Feedback on the Conference Print

When an echo is heard in your conference, it is most often not originating with the one hearing it, but with another caller whose audio is echoing back into the conference through their phone/mic.

TROUBLESHOOTING: What to do when you hear an echo on the call

  1. VIDEO MEETING: Hit the 'MUTE ALL' button in the participant list
PHONE: Press *7 (ensure you called in with your moderator PIN

to be able to do this)

  2. VIDEO MEETING: Either manually unmute individual callers or ask only
those callers who need to speak to unmute their lines one by one.
PHONE: Callers can press *6 to unmute their individual lines

  3. When you notice the disturbance return with a particular participant, you
will be able to pinpoint the source (see below for common causes of echo/
feedback). You can ask them to remain muted, rejoin the meeting or connect
    via another method.

  4. As a last resort, end the call and have everyone rejoin.
This can be done on the phone with *0.
